I love to cook, talk about food and share recipes.  I do not advocate a one-size-fits-all diet for folks with fibromyalgia because I personally believe that the cause varies and each person has their own unique constitution. There are some people who are sensitive to gluten and others who experience flare-ups when they eat nightshades.  You have to figure out what is right for you.

That being said, I am a huge proponent of eating REAL FOOD.  I also think that most chronic diseases in this country are the result of the distance between people and the source of their food – by this I mean both the physical miles from farm to fork but also the reliance on convenience foods and meals prepared by strangers.  With so much attention given to calories, micronutrients, and healthy fats these days, the intangible qualities of a home-cooked meal get ignored.
